To Restore BIOS Settings to Factory Default (M830 Motherboard)

M830 motherboards shipped from 2011 until 2016
If the motherboard battery should fail, the BIOS settings which are stored in CMOS memory will have to be reset to insure proper operation.

To Replace the Motherboard Battery

The Battery is a CR2032 coin-type cell, which is available anywhere batteries are sold.

Before replacing the battery, turn off the CNC control, and shut down the OmniTurn with the disconnectImage of disconnect

at the spindle drive cabinet.

To open the BIOS Menu

To get into the BIOS menu, set the control off, then hold the Del key down and turn the control on. Don't release it until the main BIOS menu appears.

To change anything in the BIOS menu, use the arrow keys to highlight your selection, then press Enter to bring up a submenu where you can make your choice by highlighting it and then pressing Enter.

To set Date and Time:

Load Optimized Defaults

In the main BIOS menu, highlight "Load Optimized Defaults", then press Enter, then "Y". Press Esc to get back to the main BIOS menu.

Advanced BIOS Features menu

In the main BIOS menu, highlight "Advanced BIOS Features", then press Enter to open the the Advanced BIOS Features menu. Here are the settings we use:
